flash not detected. please go here to make sure you have an up to date version of the flash player

Took me ages trying to fix this damn video, turns out the Rich Text Editor doesnt like flash and all, so I have to use the good old tagging interface to get it to work, no worries. Just need to make sure I do this each time

B and the Medium Sized Pizza

Thursday, September 28th, 2006

Last night I had pizza with B, I ordered a medium pizza instead of a large insisting it would be enough for us both and that we would be “nicely full” rather then “sickly full”. So yeah. pizza was nice, but it was slightly smaller then I imagined it to be. Nonetheless I managed to eat it all and feel “nicely full”. B’s place didnt have water today, there has been construction work all over hammersmith, think one of the pipes was burst or something, but B’s mum couldnt cook for us due to lack of water (hence the pizzas)

The night consisted mainly of show and tell (B doing most of the showing). I’m getting more and more excited of the uni work but at the same time scared it will screw me right over. But thats the fun bit of uni work I guess.

Individual project stuff

Wednesday, September 27th, 2006

Today I managed to approach Jonathan Briggs, a very successful person in the whole CMS/ecommerce side (joint owner of a company called www.othermedia.com) I showed him three ideas that I was hoping to do for my final year project, they included:

Another morning of uni, today ecommerce

Wednesday, September 27th, 2006

Right. I pretty much sorted out the whole blog so all my images are now stored in one central location. Probably going to be a bitch in the future to navigate through my images but ah well.

Anyhow, uni is going quite smoothly, already got an idea of a project to do. I’m doing a content management system for a lecturer for some site at Kingston (ncg.kingston.ac.uk). He’s hoping for me to use a packaged tool however i would definitely want to try from scratch. The latter method seems far more challenging.

Now i’m going to try and blog more and more just to keep a record of everythign. Reading the old stuff makes me want to keep track of the present. Will use the good old mobile or laptop to do some typing on the bus. You can only play tetris DS for so many times hehe.

Today we will be doing ecommerce, the lecture times are a bit annoying but its alright, least I have some time to do some work in between the lectures.

Some new updates at last

Tuesday, September 26th, 2006

Right, think I best update this bad boy some more, gave it a nice new theme (dunno why but im into green lately) Second day in uni and slightly panicing about project stuff. Some ideas include:

  • Revamp a guitar site my brother did
  • Revamp crazybobbles
  • Revamp some site some lecturer wanted me to try out

I’ve had a word with my brother about the first two, and it seems like they’re not suitable projects to do due to stuff like plagerism and lack of clients. So I guess I’m stuck with the bottom one.

Feel really sad that I’ve neglected this blog, perhaps I should link it up some more or something. Though most of the things here are quite personal and all.

Uni :(

Monday, September 25th, 2006

Well, today is the first day of uni. Final year and all.

The lectures were pretty boring but then it kinda heated up (both literally and metaphorically (it was really hot)) when the guy from Information System Strategies came in and did his lecture. It was pretty awesome.

We read some chapter off a book called Introduction to the Mind, a philosophy book based on an alternative style of thinking about how the mind works. We were then split into groups. It was pretty annoying as our tightly nit clique consisted of 6 people which meant that the we had to split up into a smaller groups. Was pretty tedious and all I wanted to do was get the job done. ah well.

Uhm…. after uni I did some cleaning up and that was about it :)
