Yesterday I went to the London MCM Comic con event. Essentially it’s a RAGING nerd fest where you cosplay, play video games, meet stars and spend money on junk you don’t need.

The start of the day wasn’t so good, first fail was that I forgot my 3DS XL. This place is a street pass magnet (not going to explain if you don’t own a 3DS) and there’s an achievement for hitting 100 street passes a day which I couldashouldawoulda got. Second fail was this queue:

That queue lasts for 2 hours. Last few years I have waltzed into the place without waiting. That in addition to no street passes made me sad.

So things to cheer me up. How about rocking the Nintendo booth and winning a £15 eShop voucher? The rules were simple, you play 15 minutes of Wii U AND 3DS games and you get a nice card you use to “spin the swag wheel”. This ranged from Pikmin stickers to the elusive £15 eShop voucher. Here’s Lauren winning a sonic hat which everyone seemed to faff over.

Afterwards we looked around and I shot a few cosplayers (not much this time since I had company)

Also managed to stumble on the Cyanide & Happiness booth where Rob (one of the artists) was there to sign books and draw sketches based on topics you’d suggest or ones written and placed in a box

I asked for “Guitars” (because you know, I play them)

Was a fun day and Lauren got her 100 street passes

We then took a cable car to enjoy the view of the o2

and proceeded to advance to Meat Mission for dinner. We had burgers, bingo wings and chilli cheese fries

I also had a tasty grog

So before we enter October I thought I’d quickly summarise my holiday in September. Booked a cheeky week off work to do a number of things. Here I go…

So not really the start of holidays but Friday ended up eating a GIANT 20 inch pizza, that was tasty. Bitches love coriander

Then Saturday we had some tasty Byron burger.. no photos for that since you know.. I’ve taken it countless times…

Sunday we took a trip to Ikea for some furniture ideas and to consume some long overdue meatballs, they were tasty

Monday was fun, we went to Hampton Court palace to check out the maze initially. We ended up going inside and soaking up some history. I loved studying about Henry VIII back in primary school so it was amaze balls to actually check it out.

Was fairly tiring at the end of the day so we went back and had some tasty thai food in Wimbledon

Tuesday we took a trip to Brighton to visit friends. We had a sushi lunch at my sushi place near work

met up with people and ate at a japanese place called Pom Poko (like the Ghibli film). Those gyozas were amaze balls

Nearer the evening our bed and breakfast place had a special guest by the bar. If you don’t recognise him then you’re too young

MASHED POTATOES. The next day we went out and roamed by the beach. Also had a lovely breakfast by the sea which was soon devoured by seagulls. This is Lauren eating her breakfast (not a seagull)

Back in London we went to Bob’s Lobster to try out a lobster roll and Lobster mac and cheese. Tasty

Thursday we went to our favourite dim sum place Golden Dragon which was closed for refurb. Here’s some crispy deep fried stuff

We then took a sneaky trip to the natural history museum and saw a dinosaur

There was a maze in this zoo too. Was more fun to escape than Hampton court (mazes are cool)

and that’s about most of the holiday. I think the last few days were spent recovering from all the events mentioned above. We have Florence to visit next. Flights all sorted

We then went and ate at Eds Diner. Food looks vile but tastes good, I had a baileys milkshake and a chilli dog. Can’t really beat meat liquor chilli.

Bill came after the waitress knocked over glasses over my lap. Cute message, even cute when you can see what it originally was

Then we saw some dudes dance to Gangnam style…

So yeah, St James’s Park, it means if I find a seat in the underground I can sit there the whole time unless I need to gain pregnant points. The park is pretty scenic, loads of raging tourists, pelicans, squirrels and more tourists.

After 18 off months of waiting I’ve finally got my dream guitar. It’s very nice, technical jargon includes dual nantucket bare knuckle pickups, fernandes sustainer, kill switch button, ibanez lo pro tremolol, ebony fretboard and maple neck, mirror finish with black binding and silver sparkles. I’m getting close to finishing my Manson guitar collection, one more to go

Loads of hot pots. Just dunk various bits of meat, tofu, cabbages, noodles into a raging hot spicy pot and consume until you collapse with meat sweats and a warm soup belly.

Probably going to push me to take more photos as well as post more on my blog. It’s still in dire need of a redesign AGAIN. I want something more photo centric.

I’m addicted the thing I hate myself for is the fact that I can probably spend the entire year playing games solid with the games I own, unfortunately completing or fully juicing the game has been sparse as I tend to look for the next game deal and get the joy from purchasing and less on playing the game itself.

I’ve now put myself in a game purchasing ban until I complete a giant list of games which includes the following:
