Ra Ra Riots live at the RELENTLESS Garage, the venue is a bit meh but the lights are quite decent at times. I was quite underwhelmed last time I heard them live, there were a lot of songs that sound good on record but doesn’t translate too well live, now with a new album out they can really flesh out the songs that work well live. Too Dramatic and Boy were fun and they obviously ended with Dying is Fine. Anyways here’s the photos

Cue tacky final fantasy 7 puns (how great was FFVII?). Anyways, been dying to see Sufjan Stevens live so when tickets went on sale I was plagued with infinite sadness knowing that tickets were ever so promptly sold out. Fortunately my friend Jason bagged some free tickets and I became his plus 1. Sufjan amused us with his flowery banter on POWER themes such as love and death and made sure that each song was eye candied up with neon and infinite dancing. He ended the show with Impossible Soul and came back to play UFO, Casimir Pulaski Day and the almighty Chicago. Balloons and confetti rained on the finale and the ever so restrained seating arrangement experienced a paradigm shift into standing dance mode. Good times. Anyways, photos ensue and such, hopus del enjoy

Eee Juanita *clicks fingers and stamps feet*! Its been a long time since they’ve played! They originally were supposed to play at some other grumpy venue but fortunately the show got cancelled and moved to Scala which is a nicer venue for intimacy (when you’re at the front anyway, the back is just horrifying). Anyways, it’s been a while and they’re nearly ready to release a brand new album! They showcased a few tracks and yeah, sounds pretty ace, can’t wait! Kinda miss the drum action from Juanita

Always wanted to see Goldfrapp play live. Probably around the Black Cherry era, sad times But those dark days are over! She was awesome live, though no theremin action However she did a handful of oldies including Train, Strict Machine and Lovely Head. The stage kinda looked like a giant rectum…
But yeah, everyone was getting sexied up during the entire show and i certainly did a lot of dancing myself. Good times
