And you’d think one Emmy the Great show was enough, nope! Tonight I was able to catch Emmy once again in action at Rough Trade East, it was nice because I missed the previous show so it’s catch up.
It was a wristband only show but we managed to get away without one 
The line up was Ex Lovers, Eugene McGuinness and then Emmy. I went along with Max and it turned out to be a fun evening. Anyway, first up, Ex Lovers.
It was much better seeing them this time compared to the show at ULU, the lights weren’t glaring at me and they sounded much better despite their equipment crapping out, at one point they declared their equipment a complete fail hehe. Nonetheless they were still able to rock out and everyone seemed to like it
Next up was Eugene McGuinness. This was the second time I saw him, the first was at a CSS gig I think. They were fun but the vocals in the monitors were far too trebly and it hurt my ears 
Next up was Emmy (I used one of my fancy shots 
Emmy played Gabriel, First Love, Dylan, Museum Island and ended with City Song. It was cute seeing her tiptoeing most of the set because the mic stand was setup too high (after Eugene McGuinness’ set).
It was really nice seeing her play again (and a nice way to end my hectic and tired gigging streak). Her voice is just so beautiful.
After the gig we had a wee chat about this and that, including how much we wanted to play Secret circus but it wasn’t played, she explained that she didn’t actually hear us and that she would have played it if we kept screaming. This kinda reminded me of the time when I requested Tilly and the Wall to play Fell Down the Stairs, they couldn’t hear me at all and I had to do some crazy gesture of some guy falling off the stairs with my fingers to get Kianna to recognise the song we wanted (that was ace). Anyway, the moral is, keep shouting for requests when they ask for it!
At the end I also got hugz from emmy
