Happy New Year folks
Hope everyone is enjoying their first day into year 2009. This year I’m going to join the herd and start on project 365. Looking at my photo folders I pretty much saw a daily stream of photos so why not turn this into a committed photography project. The community feels friendly and cheery so I’m definitely going to enjoy meeting other fellow 365′ers along the way. I think most of my 365 photos will be pretty much focused on music, movies, books, things i buy, places i go and food i eat (and then pretty much whatever comes my way).

Happy New Year Everyone, Lets start something new!
Lykke Li – Breaking it up
Breaking it up – alternative live video. Filmed by: Christian Haag from Lykke Li on Vimeo
I love this video, it’s so nice and raw I like video posts, it’s just my lazy way of ensuring there’s still activity on the blog without having to write too much, I have work again which means my holiday wasn’t as productive as I thought it would be, so many blog posts to write about, so many photos to upload. The entire xmas I just been busy going out that I never got the chance to do stuff on the pooter. So yeah, hopefully it will be all done before the new year begins! (and that’s REALLY cutting it thin haha). Enjoy
Happy Birthday to me
I’m 24 now, thank you for all of those who wished me a wonderful and happy birthday, I had an amazing day spent with friends and family and ate lots and lots of yummy food. This shot is to tribute the day before, and to my favourite photography Breast Bob who took his time to make me a birthday tribute photo with christmas lights.
I thought a maki roll candle would do the trick for tonight. The maki roll candle was from someone special last year
But yeah, that’s about it, happy birthday to me (I took it within the day so ner to those technical pedantic folk
)

So yeah, I just got attacked…
So yeah, I was waiting for the bus to arrive to buy some food for xmas and suddenly I got attacked by two guys, a proper clothesline to the face and I went down bleeding. They tried to take my wallet but failed to get anything because i was wearing tight jeans (woo!). Some more kicks and punches and yeah, they left afterwards. Got quite a bloody nose and yeah, went back home to wash it off and somehow I thought of taking a photo of it. Rang the police but I have no idea what to say to them, but reported anyhow.
A good Samaritan situation occured when I asked for someone to help call the police but he ignored me. Ah well, sometimes you just need to help yourself

haha sorry for the grim post folks, but whatever :p
Crowd shots: is that you in the crowd?
I love taking crowd shots, during gigs it’s always hard capturing the crowd when you’re part of it, but once at the pit it’s nice to just turn around, not focus on the band for a bit and start photolising the crowd instead, they’re more than happy to really scream for the camera and it doubles the fun when you take shots and people somehow later on find themselves in the photo and comment on it (had that a number of times!).
Gogol Bordello live at the Roundhouse
Our favourite Gypsy immigrant punk rock band Gogol Bordello return to London to grace us with some more energy charged madness and fun. They were supoorted by Supramazoo, a Belgium band who really complemented the event well with crazy beat boxing and hardcore rocking (not that they were a hardcore rock band, but whatever). This night has been quite a bouncy one and left me covered in projectile sweat, red wine, and more sweat from jumpy fans.
Emmy the Great – Easter Parade
I like this video, it’s nice and sweet, still need to write up the gig about it, but lets settle with the gogol bordello review for now shall we? Good good
Desafinado and Goldfish Memory
I started listening to this track a few days ago after doing some random browsing on youtube when I stumbled onto this song by Damien Rice, I instantly fell in love with it and went to go watch Goldfish Memory, a cute irish film which has the song in it. Go listen to it and then watch the film if you like it, it’s a bit corny and lovey dovey but they have irish accents so that’s made of win. Hopefully the photo of Lisa Hannigan’s boots will tempt you to give it a listen (oh and I’m sneaky by embedding a youtube video in it but reducing the height of the film because all it shows are photos which is boring :p
