Manics Gig

Manics 2
I AM JESUS, AND I BRING YOU MUSIC!

Oh it was a lovely gig, lets just start off when I went to meet up with B though, twas around 3pm when i started heading off, though i didnt feel too well (really fucked up throat) so i really should have stayed in bed drinking lots of liquids :p We chilled out for a bit, B. did her music composition whilst i read Phantom of the Opera. Afterwards she was semi ready to perform her piece (the piano accompanment), I decided to record the piece so that she could play the viola over it. The piece sounds really good, especially the end, she has a talent for composition.

Afterwards we began taking off for Hammersmith Apollo (quite a trek). B. wore her purple glittery top that I bought her a few days ago. I wore my usual crap. We also discussed about the term “fuck that shit”… like who actually made that phrase and what’s it suppose to suggest. It was fun.

The gig nows.
The setlist i cant remember too well, though with the magic of google and manic forums, I present to you the setlist

Found That Soul
A Design For Life
Roses in the Hospital
Faster
1985
Everything Must Go
My Little Empire
Elvis Impersonator
Of Walking Abortion
You Love Us
Let Robeson Sing
If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next
The Masses Against The Classes
The Everlasting (acoustic)
Archives of Pain
You Stole the Sun
Stay Beautiful
Cardiff Afterlife
Ifwhiteamerica…
Firefight
Motorcycle Emptiness
Paradise City ….> Motown Junk

Every song was amazing, especially the everlasting, that rocked the most, twas done acoustic. Nicky Wire dressed all glam per usual, he looks too off with the others (who wore t shirts and all). James did his usually flower spins and nicky did his showgirl kicks. The gig ended quite randomly as it felt like an encore was going to come up, but nowt, we had talk with one of the security guards, he seemed like those failed drama school kids who ends up doing shitty jobs like standing at gigs for 2 hours and carrying stupid moshers and smelly grungers.

I managed to record alot of the gig, the venue was wee (smaller than Brixton Academy) so this gig was definitely worth looking back at, so lots of photos, videos and audio. Managed to record 77minutes of the gig on my iriver (hail bootlegging) and have about 300 photos of the gig, some videos too (with audio). Anyhow, here are some highlights of the gig.
