Totorro, Totorro!
I’m an avid studio ghibli fan. My first studio ghibli film was probably Spirited Away and instantly fell in love with it. It was a mixture of vivid imaginations and fantasies sprinkled with a strong solid story and a cool heroine. After Spirited Away I started watching all the previous Ghibli films and fell in love with Cat Returns, Pom Poko, Whisper of the Heart, Nausicaä and Howls Moving Castle. My favourite one is probably the Cat Returns purely because it’s a nice and simple feel good movie, and it has cats.
My goal is to go Japan one day and visit the Studio Ghibli museum (my friends have, grrr). Anyone wanna join :p? But yeah, real big fan of them and like collecting cute little Totorro memorabilia, the soot sprites stamp being one of them. So yeah, if you haven’t seen any, I highly recommend it.

As I’ve mentioned before I’m a huge Studio Ghibli fan, although I’m still to see The Cat Returns and Pom Poko. Porco Rosso is one of my favourite films ever, but Totoro, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke are all brilliant too. I also really love Castle of Cagliostro, which isn’t *strictly* Ghibli but it’s by Miyazaki anyhoo and Grave of the Fireflies is an utter masterpiece although it’s one of the most upsetting films I’ve seen in my life. HOORAY FOR GHIBLI!
I love Studio Ghibli stuff as well! The first movie I saw was about 7 years ago in year 5. We watched Totoro in Japanese class and I haven’t stopped watching as many Ghibli movies as there is since then!
I would so come with you to the Studio Ghibli Museum in Japan, that is one of my life goals as well.
They don’t sell much Ghibli or Miyazaki stuff where I live (Sydney) unless it’s dodgy from China Town or something so I don’t have as much memorabilla as I would like, but I do own many of the (official) movies.
Even my desktop wallpaper is My Neighbour Totoro =)
I’m so jealous that they put numbers on your region’s Ghibli DVDs…mine are just kind of in a sad alphabetical order :[
